Dale is situated on the north side of the Milford Haven waterway at the end of the B4327. The beach is made up of sand and stones, with an outlook up the Milford Haven waterway. A dog ban operates on the northern section of the beach from May to September inclusive. Being east facing and sheltered it has become a popular venue for watersports particularly windsurfing, sailing and water skiing, and is home to the West Wales Water Sports Centre. There is a P&D car park opposite the beach, with a few disabled spaces overlooking the beach.
Dale has good facilities including toilets, a slipway, a cafe with outdoor seating, a pub, a post office/stores and a restaurant. The village also has a tediously long one-way system.
